Laboratory Technician

The Department of Molecular Biosciences, Wenner-Gren Institute (MBW) is one of the biggest departments at the Faculty of Science at Stockholm University with more than 30 research groups and about 180 employees The Department of Molecular Biosciences, Wenner-Gren Institute (MBW) conducts experimental basic research in molecular cell biology, intergrative biology and infection and immune biology. Main responsibilities

This Laboratory Technician position is available in the laboratory headed by Dr. Susanne Keipert. Main resposibilities are genotyping of different mouse models and basic molecular biological methods such as isolating RNA, protein as well as qPCRs, Western Blot and immunohistochemistry. FELASA certificate and experience in mouse work would be an advantage.

Qualification requirements

We are looking for someone with practical and theoretical knowledge in molecular biology (Labratory assistant, Master Degree). High motivation, ability to work independently as well as in a team and good english skills are required.

About the employment

This is a time-limited 60 % of full time position, for 6 month, with the possibility of extension. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date as per agreement.
