We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Scientist to join our Molecular Toxicology research environment at Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab), Campus Solna. SciLifeLab is a national research center for molecular biosciences with a focus on health and environmental research, hosting leading-edge technologies and interdisciplinary expertise. Our research focuses on understanding how environmental contaminants impact human and environmental health at the molecular and cellular levels. We employ advanced toxicological tools, including high-throughput screening, high-content imaging, omics technologies, and computational approaches, to elucidate mechanisms of toxicity. Ultimately, our work contributes to a deeper understanding of how chemical exposures contribute to the burden of disease and environmental degradation, supporting the development of science-based strategies for risk assessment, public health, and environmental protection.
The Staff Scientist will be based at SciLifeLab, Campus Solna, with a main responsibility to support research in molecular toxicology at the Exposure and Effects Unit (ACESx). The staff scientist will provide scientific and technical support to research projects related to toxicological method development and mechanistic studies. The role will be integral to maintaining and advancing laboratory capabilities at the interface of molecular biology, toxicology, and environmental health. Specific responsibilities include:
