The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. SciLifeLab (SciLifeLab) is a national center for molecular biosciences with focus on health and environmental research. The center combines frontline technical expertise with advanced knowledge of translational medicine and molecular bioscience. SciLifeLab is a national resource hosted by Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University and Uppsala University. SciLifeLabs Cell and Molecular Imaging (CMI) platform offers access to advanced imaging technologies, from cryo-EM and tomography to super-resolution microscopy. The platform enables visualization of biological systems at multiple scales – from molecules to tissues – using state-of-the-art instruments that are not normally available in individual laboratories.
Computational methods and artificial intelligence based on large-scale molecular data are transforming the study of biological systems at all levels – from molecular structures and cellular processes to human health and global ecosystems.
We are currently seeking a System administrator to support the operation and further development of our advanced computing and data infrastructure. The role includes administering Linux-based servers and clusters, automating workflows, and assisting users in a dynamic research environment.
As a key infrastructure person, you will play a central role in connecting our user communities and developing new data services together with senior experts at the SciLifeLab Bioinformatics Platform and the SciLifeLab Data Centre – to enable groundbreaking research in a new era of quantitative and predictive biology.
Meritorious qualifications
This is a full-time, indefinite-term employment with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date as agreement.
