Department of Physics is one of the biggest departments within the Faculty of Science and supports a broad range of basic research in experimental and theoretical physics. It has about 250 employees of which 95 are PhD students. Many have been internationally recruited. The Department is part of the AlbaNova University Center, which apart from the Department of Physics houses the Department of Astronomy, the Physics Departments at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), and the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics (Nordita). You will be part of the IceCube group at the Division of Particle Physics. The work is carried out in connection with an education- and research-related project linked to the IceCube collaboration and involves method and instrumentation development as well as data analysis in searches for new physics (e.g. exotic particles).
The position is designed as a traineeship/internship within the context of higher education.

The position is part-time, 25 %, and is limited to a maximum of 12 months. Start date 1 April 2026 or as agreement. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting.
