The position is linked to the project The Swedish Model in a New Era, funded by FORTE. Over the past decade, the role of the social partners in the legislative labour law process has been strengthened. Various forms of tripartite cooperation between the social partners and the state have emerged. The recent amendments to the Employment Protection Act (1982:80), has received considerable attention. In addition, the Short-Time Work Act, the Establishment Job Ordinance, and new strike rules have been added through such processes. The research project aims to clarify what has driven this development, what it means in terms of the distribution of rights and obligations for the actors and groups concerned, and the significance of tripartite cooperation for labor market relations and party autonomy.
The project includes a comparative sub-study focusing on similar tripartite systems in other EU countries.
The job duties include research on tripartite systems in other EU countries to answer questions about how they are structured and legally established, and what types of issues they deal with.
The researcher must have a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country.
